Real Experience Thailand is a fully registered tour operator and responsible travel company in Thailand. It was founded by Eco Explorer Travel Company Thailand. The organisation is run by young individuals who care deeply about Thailand's nature and wildlife. We, both as individuals and as a friendly travel agent, feel it is our responsibility to preserve the existing environment. By organizing eco travel tours all around the country, we hope to increase awareness of the importance of Thailand's natural resources. In the meantime we will show you some of the most beautiful places of our country in surroundings that still maintain their natural populations.

Our tours take place in small private groups and we visit areas that have not been commercially exploited. By visiting the most interesting and wonderful places in Thailand, you will have a great experience while helping to maintain natural communities and support projects that benefit the environment.

All our tour guides are Thai people. They play a very important role in our organization as they represent Eco Explorer and they make sure that travelers have a satisfying eco holiday. In the national parks we work together with local rangers and guides. All transportation is either by minivan or local bus. All accomodation is located in local villages, campsites or hotels which are mostly owned by Thai people. The local community is therefore always solicited.

By acting as guides and porters for people interested in ecotourism, we are providing an alternative occupation for local people instead of the hunting of animals, which has been a main source of income in the past. By making them aware of the importance of animal protection, we are also showing them that the animal's continued existence is in fact of great advantage to them.

The company also offers a homestay opportunity with the Karen Hiltribe. Here you can either take part in their daily life and help teach English. Or you can be part of a preservation and educational project for the endangered gibbons.

When travelling with us, you will aid us in preventing the destruction of precious resources in this part of South-East Asia. All of our projects are supported and funded by income generated by ecotourism

Real Team

Mr. Arnon is the director and founder of Eco Explorer Company Thailand. After having studied marketing in Bangkok, he chose to pursue a career in helping nature conservation and local communities. 13 years ago, he started to work as an operational manager at eco travel agency and after three years he moved to WAR; Thailand's biggest rescue center for wild animals. In the past two years he has worked freelance. During these years he spent most of his time trekking through the jungles of Thailand, taking photographs and writing nature stories.

"Running ecotourism travel unaided is not an easy task but we manage to make a difference and we are very proud of this. We truly hope that one day everyone will be able to see this difference and contribute to the conservation of our beloved country: Thailand."

Oh is the manager of our company, the coordinator of the elephants project, a tour guide and is working at the Karen hill tribe village in Umphang districts. He graduated in electrical engineering and enjoys studying the history and civilization of Thailand.

Am is an advisor for the company concerning the planning of our tours. He is a member of the team and helps to take care of the tourist sector at Umphang district. He is a ecotourism guide and has valuable experience in this area, including familiarity with people and the Karen hilltribe. He was part of Wildlife and Nature Conservation Foundation that was to be pursued in the local Umphang district.

John and Sandi Dai family was our friendly volunteers and became our consultant and coordinator in Australia. Jon and Sandi can provide you with useful information before arriving in Thailand.

She started as a student intern at our company. After her university course in the Department of Tourism, she became a freelance guide for many travel companies. Once she discovered her love for nature and helping local communities, she came back to work as an eco guide for our company.

"Heang" is our very funny and playful dog who has luckily been rescued from the road and taken care for by Arnon. He will be a part of our team forever.
